Texas-based Breitling Oil and Gas has started drilling operations at its Breitling-Denman prospect in Victoria County.
The proposed well is located within closures mapped at the Frio, Catahoula and Miocene sands above an estimated total vertical depth of 4,300ft.
The well completion and testing will begin in early October 2010 and reservoir parameter testing will be conducted on this well.
Breitling Oil and Gas CEO Chris Faulkner said that the spudding of the first well is an important step in demonstrating and developing the large energy potential of the company’s acreage position in the Breitling-Denman field.
