Deltamarin has secured €3.6m contract from Bumi Armada Berhad to design floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) unit.

Bumi Armada, a Malaysia-based offshore oilfield services provider, has received a contract in November 2012, to supply the unit to operate in the Kraken field of oil company EnQuest, situated in the UK sector of the North Sea.

The scope of the contract includes the development of FEED phase material into a class approved full basic package comprising naval architecture, structural and strength analysis, steel outfitting, marine or utility and HVAC, accommodation, HSE and electric & instrumentation.

The turret-moored FPSO, which is expected to include the dimensions of 285.41m in length and 50m in breadth, will have a storage capacity of around 600,000 barrels.

Deltamarin oil and gas director Rami Hirsimäki said, "This contract further strengthens Deltamarin’s position as a recognized offshore oil & gas engineering contractor for owners and operators, delivering safe and reliable vessel designs with high integrity for the harshest offshore environments."
