Delta’s TEC cooling device offers battery cooling, while the rest of the telecom power system comprising telecom devices and rectifiers receive an optimized operating temperature through air conditioning, air ventilation or heat exchangers, or any combination of these.

The deployment of Delta’s hybrid cooling and TEC systems on a minimum of 1000 sites is expected to enable an operator to incur an annual energy cost savings of EUR1m.

OutD and its advanced cooling options form a part of Delta’s SolutionE, a comprehensive concept for total energy efficiency that focuses on creating direct and indirect energy savings and a smaller carbon footprint.

Delta Electronics outdoor product manager of telecom power solutions business unit Andrzej Chaberek said that using Delta’s hybrid cooling solutions, the savings in cooling can rise up to 90%.

"This revolutionizes the cost structure of thermal management and can achieve more than 40% savings in a site’s total energy consumption." says Chaberek.
