Cypress Envirosystems’ patent pending Wireless Pneumatic Thermostat (WPT) has been designed to retrofit existing pneumatic thermostats and heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems in older buildings to deliver direct digital control (DDC) functionality in minutes.

It enables remote temperature sensing and control of setpoints, programmable zone control and night setback, automatic self-calibration, BACnet integration with existing automation systems, and communication with utility demand response programs.

The WPT, which is claimed to cost 80% less than a conventional DDC retrofit to implement, gathers sensor data for retro and ongoing commissioning to save energy and cut maintenance costs, pays back in 18 months or shorter and can be installed in under 20 minutes.

Colliers International managing partner and senior vice president Patrick Murray said that Colliers is partnering with best-in-class companies to significantly improve sustainability for buildings and this includes a portfolio of energy efficiency, smart grid, and renewable energy technologies.
