The projects will include BRL 72m ($38m) worth four wastewater projects and BRL 8.9m ($4.7m) worth two water supply projects, reports BNamericas.
In Tacaratu, Compesa will invest BRL 27m ($14.2m) for expanding the Caraibeiras sewerage system and will include construction of three pumping stations, 39.3km of pipeline, 2,314 building connections and a wastewater treatment plant.
The towns of Venturosa, Tacaratu and Itapetim will receive a total of BRL 45.1m ($23.8m) for other sewerage works.
Afogados and Aliança will also receive funds of BRL 5.7m ($3m) and BRL 3.2m ($1.6m) respectively.
The funds will be allocated under the group III category of the national growth acceleration plan of the country.
