SCJV is a joint venture between engineering and construction company Clough and Germany’s pipeline engineering and construction specialists, STREICHER Group.

The Macedon field, which lies in Block WA-12-R in the Exmouth sub-basin, is estimated to hold recoverable reserves of between 400 billion cubic feet and 750 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf) of gas and is expected on stream in 2013.

Scope of the work would include horizontal directional drilling, construction of an onshore wet gas pipeline and sales gas pipeline as well as umbilical installation.

Work on the contract was scheduled to begin this month, with completion expected in May next year.

Clough CEO John Smith said we are pleased to work on this project and will utilise resources and expertise from our Clough Seam Gas division and partner Streicher to deliver the best possible project outcomes.
