On June 28, 2008, CiDRA announced plans to address the company’s continued expansion of its oilsands business in the Athabasca region of Alberta, Canada through a newly created subsidiary corporation, CiDRA Oilsands, Inc.
Since it began serving the oilsands industry in 2003, CiDRA has launched a series of innovative products and services, based on SONARtrac (R) and SMARTring (TM) technologies.
“The creation of our Canadian subsidiary reflects CiDRA’s ongoing commitment to our customers in Ft. McMurray, says John Viega, vice president and general manager of CiDRA Oilsands. “CiDRA continues to invest in infrastructure, resources and innovative solutions that help drive reliability and efficiencies in operations for our customer-partners.” To further our commitment to this region, CiDRA has also built an experienced and responsive service and support team based in Ft. McMurray, as well as regional sales operations in Calgary.
