Under the $20m contract, CG will design, construct and install a total of 36 bays of 150kV in Java, Sumatra, Kalimantan and Sulawesi islands of Indonesia.

The 36 extension bays will be delivered in two lots with Lot 1 involving the Java and Bali island extension bays and the Lot 2 representing Sumatra, Kalimantan and the Sulawesi islands.
The International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD)-backed project intends to boost the performance transmission grid of PT PLN.
Earlier, CG signed a joint venture accord with PT PLN to develop high-voltage switchgear products of up to the 500kV class in Indonesia.
