Centrax Gas Turbines has recently signed an agreement with French company Turbomeca to take over maintenance of their Rolls Royce 501 class generator set business.

The move follows the Turbomeca decision to focus the industrial side of their business on their own engines and as a result cease marketing the Rolls Royce plant.

Director of Centrax Gas Turbines, Guy West, who has led the acquisition welcomed the new customers and said, “We are delighted to have been chosen by Turbomeca to take on the service of their customers.”

In related news, Centrax has won a contract with French company, SNPE Bergerac NC, for a new CX501-KB package with a Dry Low Emissions system. Elyo Midi-ocean has ordered the 5.3 MW indoor generator on behalf of SNPE Group, to replace an existing Centrax package installed in 1996.

Using the filtration and ductwork from the original installation, the new package will be powered by the latest KB7 turbine, providing heat and increasing power to the industrial site located in Bergerac in South West France.
