Jet-boring is a system of using water to carve out cavities in the ore body, reported Reuters.
In July, Cameco stopped jet-boring at Cigar Lake over problems related to freezing the ore and the ground around it.
The company then said: "To prevent water from entering the production areas of the mine and to help stabilize weak rock formations, the ore zone and surrounding ground is being frozen by circulating a brine solution through cased holes drilled from both surface and underground."
Cameco holds 50% stake in Cigar Lake mine, while AREVA Resources Canada, Idemitsu Canada Resources and TEPCO Resources own 37.1%, 7.87% and 5% stakes respectively.
