California American Water has completed the acquisition of Oxbow Marina Mutual Water Company, a California based water services provider.

According to the terms of the agreement, approved by California Public Utilities Commission, California American Water will offer state-regulated potable water service to its new customers.

The Oxbow Marina system, consisting of boat slips and waterfront homes, is situated on Georgiana Slough and is one mile from the Isleton system of Sacramento District.

California American Water, Oxbow, and the California State Water Resources Control Board Division of Financial Assistance have joined forces to complete grant-funded improvements to integrate Oxbow water system with Isleton system of California American Water.

With the integrated of the systems, the water processed by the Isleton arsenic treatment plant of California American Water will become the potable source for Oxbow.
