Caiman Energy has begun operation of the Ft Beeler Processing Plant I, a cryogenic processing facility located in the Marcellus Shale formation near Cameron, West Virginia.

The company has executed a definitive long-term agreement with Chesapeake Energy to process rich gas that is produced by Chesapeake in Marshall and Wetzel counties.

The gas processing facility has a capacity of 120 million cubic feet per day (mmcf/d).

Caiman said it will launch construction of a second cryogenic processing plant with a capacity of 200mmcf/d, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2011.

Caiman is focused on the design, construction, operation and acquisition of midstream assets.
