The target was derived by the company through historical drilling information, which indicated six discreet zones of graphite mineralization that occur in a broad zone that extends over a strike length of 4km.
All of the zones are open at depth and along strike while coarse flake graphite has been confirmed in historical drill logs and basic metallurgical tests.
The acquisition of the Yalbra Project provides the Company with attractive commodity diversification at a time of historically high graphite prices.
The project acquisition was prompted by recent worldwide interest in sources of flake graphite, which is used in the construction of lithium ion batteries, fuel cells and pebble bed nuclear reactors.
The company has immediately planned an initial field reconnaissance trip, and also a substantial ground electromagnetic survey to define targets for drilling.
The Yalbra Graphite Project spans 37km2 and is located 250km North West of Meekatharra and 280km East of Carnarvon.
