As DCBO, the company will provide plan review and code inspection services for the design and construction of the 250MW facility, which is scheduled to go into service in early 2013.

Construction will begin by the end of 2010 on the facility, which will supply electricity to Pacific Gas & Electric.

The California Energy Commission selected Bureau Veritas to review and archive all plans and inspect the quality of work.

Bureau Veritas North America CEO Pedro Guimaraes said that this project will generate enough power for approximately 90,000 homes, and alleviate over 430 kilotons of greenhouse gas emissions annually.
