As part of the deal, Bullfrog Power will provide finance for the development of a new solar project, through its Bullfrog Builds Renewable Accelerator Program.

Bullfrog noted that SUN Co-operative is negotiating a deal to lease land from Vale for the solar project, which will generate clean and pollution-free solar power.

Bullfrog Power operations senior vice president Ron Seftel said the Bullfrog Builds is all about moving new green energy projects forward.

"SUN Co-operative’s Vale project is Bullfrog Builds’ first in Northern Ontario and we’re excited to be part of a project that not only changes how the land will be used, but also provides an example of what is possible for local, clean power co-ops across Canada," Seftel added.
