Brookfield Renewable Power has completed a CAD$354m ($351,3m) project financing in connection with its 166MW Comber wind project in Essex County in southwestern Ontario.

Construction of the wind farm has already begun and the project is expected to enter commercial operation in fall 2011.

Financing for the three-year construction credit facility was provided by co-lead arrangers Bank of Nova Scotia and Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, as well as Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, Mizuho Corporate Bank, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp of Canada, and National Bank Financial Group.

Brookfield Renewable is a wholly owned subsidiary of Brookfield Asset Management, and the company’s total portfolio includes more than 165 generating facilities with approximately 4,200MW of capacity.
