Norway-based Bridge Energy has commenced exploration program in production license (PL) 457 covering wells targeting the Amol and the Asha East prospects.

The company said it will use semi-submersible rig Borgland Dolphin to drill the wells, which are located on Utsira High and Gudrun Terrace, respectively.

Asha East exploration well will be drilled as a side-track from the Amol exploration well main bore and results from the former are expected first.

Bridge Energy has 20% interest in the wells, which are operated by Wintershall with 40%. Other partners are VNG and E.ON with 20% interests each.
