Irish energy company Bord Gais has appointed John Mullins as its new chief executive officer.
Mr Mullins will take up his position in early December 2007. He is a native of Cork city and holds both a bachelors and masters degree in engineering from University College Cork and an MBA from the Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business. Prior to his current role as chief executive with Bioverda, Mr Mullins worked as a business development director at Greenstar.
Ed O’Connell, chairman of Bord Gais, said: The board of Bord Gais is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr Mullins as its next chief executive. Mr Mullins has extensive experience in the energy sector and joins Bord Gais at a time when the company is embarking on a critical stage of its development.
