The wind power projects are placed on the private lands owned by the Seminaire de Quebec.
Gaz Metro and Valener, through Beaupre Eole general partnership, indirectly own their interest in the wind farms.
Construction has already started on the wind farms with 126 Enercon wind turbines, and the projects are scheduled to be commissioned by December 2013.
The electricity generated by the wind farms will be sold to Hydro-Quebec, under the 20-year power purchase agreements.
The $725m financing includes a two-year construction loan of $590m, and short-term facilities, including a bridge loan and a letter of credit facility, totalling $135m.
The Seigneurie de Beaupre wind farms will be developed in two phases and will have a total capacity of 366MW.
The first phase include 272MW, which is expected to start up in late 2013, and the second phase of 69MW is expected to start operating in late 2014.
