The first stage of Serbia’s Boguchansk hydroelectric plant is expected be commissioned in 2010, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov has said.
The structure is being built as part of a joint agreement between aluminium company RusAl and electricity provider Unified Energy Systems to create an energy and metals conglomerate, which will also incorporate an aluminium smelter.
Approximatey US$4B will be invested in the project.
