As part of the partnership, Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice will promote PeakRewards in advertising campaigns, the first of which is scheduled to begin this week in the Baltimore area.
Kenneth DeFontes, president of BGE, said: “BGE is absolutely thrilled to have Ray Rice on our team, promoting a program that not only helps BGE reduce peak energy demand and increase system reliability, but also provides participating customers with bill credits of up to $200 for the first year and up to $100 every year thereafter.
“BGE continues to make great strides in helping our customers better manage their energy usage while saving money and our new partnership with the Baltimore Ravens provides a great platform from which to increase awareness of this innovative program.”
BGE delivers power to more than 1.2 million electric customers and more than 640,000 natural gas customers in Central Maryland.
