As part of the collaboration, BayWa will be responsible for providing turn-key engineering, procurement, construction, financing and O&M, while Geenex will drive development activities.
The partners have already commenced construction on the first project with 5MW capacity in Northampton, North Carolina. The Hemlock project is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2016.
BayWa and Geenex will commence construction on the next projects, which range in size from 20MW to 100MW, over the coming months. They are planned to start energy deliveries in 2017 and 2018.

“Their expertise in development and local knowledge enable us to take the necessary steps to make these major investments.”
The projects, which range in size from 20MW to 100MW, are in different stages of development.
Geenex CEO Georg Veit said: “We have a long term plan in the region which now moves into the second phase. Our pipeline is unfolding while being continuously expanded.”
Over the coming years, BayWa and Geenex plan to expand the scope and scale of the partnership in order to meet the customer needs for integrated, renewable energy solutions.
