The contract awarded by a joint venture of TechnipFMC and JGC will include supply of rotating equipment for the power and gas refrigeration process of the new FLNG facility.
JGC is the leading partner in a consortium that will provide engineering, procurement, construction, installation, commissioning and start-up (EPCIC) of Coral South’s FLNG facility.
BHGE's order consists of four Turbo-compression trains for mix refrigeration services and four Turbo-generation units.
The company will manufacture the components of the turbo compressor trains and turbo-generation units at its Nuovo Pignone facility in Florence, Italy.
Earlier in June, BHGE received a contract for the supply of seven xmas trees, three 2-slot manifolds with integrated distribution units, MB rigid jumpers, seven subsea wellheads with spare components, a complete topside control system to be installed on the Coral South FLNG facility.
The Coral South FLNG project is the first phase of EEA’s plan for a wider development of bringing world-class gas discoveries made in the Rovuma Basin Area 4.
The project will have an FLNG facility installed with capacity of 3.4 million tonnes/year (MTPA). The facility will be receive LNG from six subsea wells and is expected to produce about 5 trillion cubic feet (TCF) of gas during the first 25 years of its operation. The operations are expected to begin in mid-2022.
