US-based engineering and construction firm The Babcock & Wilcox Companies has announced that it will change its name to The Babcock & Wilcox Company and reorganize its operations into four groups, including the newly formed nuclear power group, and launch a new brand identity.

The realignment of the company’s operations will support the changing requirements of Babcock & Wilcox Company (B&W) customers and strengthen its position in the nuclear and fossil power generation industry and in national security operations, according to a company release.

John Fees, CEO, said: Moving forward, we will be better able to leverage our product and service offerings, particularly in the expanding nuclear power sector, and to pool our vast resources to play a major role in this growing market. Our vision is to be the preferred global leader excelling in the delivery of advanced energy and operational solutions.
