A draft decree "On approval of the feasibility study for building Kakhovka HPP-2. The government of Ukraine approved at the meeting.
Implementation of the project will increase the level of reliability and improve power quality unified energy system of Ukraine through participation hydraulic units Kakhovka HPP-2 automatic regulation of frequency and power, increase power generation to renewable resources. It will provide savings of fossil fuels and improve the reliability of the power system as a whole.
Project funding provided by the tariff for electric power generation JSC " UHE " own funds, and loan funds provided under the state guarantees in terms of co-financing by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and European Investment Bank.

The draft order developed by the Ministry of Energy and Mines in accordance with the Procedure for approval of construction projects approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of 11.06.2011 number 560.
According to the Law of Ukraine "On regulation of urban development" project documentation for the construction of facilities approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine if they are constructed using budgetary funds, funds of state and municipal enterprises and loans to government guarantees.
