Australia-based APA Group, a transporter of natural gas, has selected Tieto's Energy Components product suite as its gas and customer management solution.
Energy Components is a system for the administration of production, transport, sales and revenue management for oil, gas and other hydrocarbon products.
APA commercial general manager Rob Wheals said that the Energy Components product suite will enhance APA’s service to customers by providing complete functional coverage of its gas transmission business, from marketing and sales through to billing and reporting.
Tieto claims that with Energy Components, APA’s customers will be able to place their orders for transport of gas directly in the system, which then ensures that the correct volume of natural gas is delivered to the correct destination, and the system also calculates prices and dispatches invoices.
Tieto is an IT service company providing IT, research and development, and consulting services.
