Under the contract, Amec Foster Wheeler will provide front-end engineering design for the project, which is located 70km south of the Port of Duqum on the Wusta Coast.

The project includes the phased development of a terminal designed to hold around 200 million barrels of crude oil.

The first phase, which is planned to be on stream by the end of 2018, will hold about 25 million barrels of oil.

OTTCO is a joint venture between Oman Oil Company and its downstream investment subsidiary, Takamul Investment Company.
