Alstom has won an order worth approximately EUR260m to construct a new gas-fired combined-cycle power plant for Tuas Power Generation (TPG) in Singapore.

The order includes an engineering, procurement and construction contract for construction of the 400MW power plant, CCP5, as well as a six-year maintenance contract.

The company will supply equipments including a GT26 gas turbine, steam turbine and heat recovery steam generator for the plant.

Construction of the power project is expected to be completed in 2014.

TPG, owned by Singapore-based power generation company Huaneng Power, already operates four existing combined-cycle power plants and two oil-fired steam power plants.
