The 260MW Arkun hydropower plant on the Coruh River will provide Turkey with 800GWh of locally produced, renewable energy and generate sufficient power to provide electricity to around 460,000 homes, helping Turkey meet its environmental goals and improve energy security.
The contract requires Alstom to engineer supply and install three 76.6MW vertical Francis hydropower turbines (totaling 228MW), inlet valves, three generators and the plant’s switchyard, control system and balance of plant.
