The turbines will be delivered to Tractebel Energia Brasil, which is developing the wind farm in Ceará State, Northeast of Brazil.
The 97.2MW project is slated to be commissioned in mid-2016 and Alstom will handle operation and maintenance of the wind farm for 10 years.
France-based Alstom will manufacture the nacelles of the wind turbines at its plant in Bahia, Brazil and the machines are to sit on 119m concrete towers, delivered in consortium with civil engineering firm Freyssinet.
Alstom said the ECO 122 wind turbine has one of the biggest rotor diameters within the 2MW to 3 MW onshore turbine market segment.
The ECO 100 platform currently has over 1000MW installed or under construction globally since 2008.
Alstom wind business senior vice-president Yves Rannou said, "The Trairà II project will be the first to use our new 119m towers that allow us to better harness wind resources regardless of wind characteristics."
Alstom secured over 2000MW of contracts in Brazil since 2010 including the supply of more than 600 ECO 122 wind turbines.
