The transformers will be delivered to the Qinghai Salt Lake Metal Magnesium Integration Project and the Qinghai Salt Lake Haina Chemical Co PVC Project, both located in north-west of China.
The 65 MVA transformers are developed and manufactured locally by SEC Alstom Transformers Co.
Alstom claims that these transformers has the greatest current rating (155 kA) of any electric arc furnace transformers to have been installed in the world to date.
