The survey will highlight areas for deep drilling within this extensive porphyry copper-gold system.
According to Almaden, the survey is expected to augment existing magnetics and induced polarization geophysical anomalies which are coincident with porphyry style gold and copper mineralisation identified in past drilling and surface mapping.
The company intends to use the results of this survey to plan a diamond drilling program anticipated to begin in early 2012.
