Ireland’s Airtricity has entered into an agreement to acquire Gale Force Energy, a Toronto-based wind farm developer.
Gale Force Energy (GFE) has more than 30 development projects in eight provinces in Canada.
Under the terms of the acquisition, the senior management and development team of GFE will remain in place but will be able to take advantage of Airtricity’s turbine supplies in an otherwise tight global market for such equipment.
