Airbiquity, a company engaged in wireless connected vehicle services, has been selected by Ford Motor to serve as systems integrator, providing connected vehicle services and infrastructure to Ford's electrified vehicle (EV) programs.
The company claims that its green vehicle solutions integrate seamlessly with an automaker’s back office systems, offering a scalable and flexible platform.
Airbiquity president and CEO Kamyar Moinzadeh said that Ford continually leads the auto industry in providing cutting-edge connected vehicle options.
"Information and communications technology is becoming essential for new vehicle introduction. This further validates the strength and versatility of our global, connected vehicle solutions," Moinzadeh said.
According to Airbiquity, electrified vehicles are one part of the automotive industry’s broader strategy to offer a wide range of environmentally friendly advanced technology solutions to improve fuel economy and lower CO2 emissions affordably for customers around the world.
