The contract has a one plus one year extension option under which AGR’s Norway-based Reservoir Management Team will provide services within geology and reservoir engineering, including reservoir modeling, petrophysics, reservoir simulation and increased oil recovery.
AGR Reservoir Management vice-president Morten Heir said, "We are very pleased to have been selected to deliver this important frame agreement and to continue our excellent working relationship with the NPD."
"The award of this contract again demonstrates the confidence the Directorate has in AGR’s reservoir engineering and geology expertise and the experience and professionalism of our team," Heir added.
In 2012, the team had won a contract with Gassnova to develop the Norwegian state-owned company’s carbon capture strategy.
