The company has invested EUR107m to build the wind farm near the town of Gunning, which is equipped with 31 ACCIONA windpower AW-1500 wind turbine generators.

The wind farm is expected to deliver enough renewable energy to power 23,250 homes in Australia.

The project is also expected to reduce the region’s reliance on fossil fuels and save more than 162,750 tons of greenhouse gas emissions each year.

The company has earlier built other two wind farms in the country, the Waubra Wind Farm with a generation capacity of 192 MW in Victoria and Cathedral Rocks Wind Farm of 66 MW in South Australia.

The three wind farms have a production capacity of 304.5MW of green energy, equivalent to the energy needs of 205,000 Australian households.
