With an investment of €58m, this wind farm will enhance the company’s presence in the country to reach 85.8MW of capacity.
This is Acciona’s third wind farm in India and the project is expected to come on stream next year.
The Tuppadahalli wind farm consists of 34 turbines each with a capacity of 1,650kW and prevent the emission into the atmosphere of 167,000 tonnes of CO2.
According to Acciona, India ended 2009 with 10,827MW of installed wind power capacity, and the company plans to have a strong presence in the country.
