Abengoa will execute the project for ANEEL to support the country’s efforts to provide efficient and sustainable energy.
Under the project, the company will execute engineering, design, construction, maintenance and commissioning services of the three electricity transmission concessions covering a total of 2,079km.
The first concession will involve construction of a transmission line running 615km in the states of Pernambuco, Piaui and Ceara.
As part of the second electricity concession, Abengoa will build a 544km long transmission line in the states of Maranhao, Piaui and Ceara.
The final concession will consist of a single transmission line of 920km and a substation in the states of Para and Tocantins.
The electricity transmission project is expected to be completed within three years.
