The solar group’s existing and new customers will benefited from shorter channels and direct customer care locally. The three companies in the solar concern will also present themselves jointly for the first time at the Third International SNEC Photovoltaic Power Expo, currently the industry’s most important trade fair in China.
With a subsidiary already in the US, the company will now have locations in Hong Kong, China and Singapore, enabling it to provide customer-oriented sales and services in the Asian growth markets. The 3S Group provides customers in Asia with automatic string soldering machines, laminating lines, testers and turnkey solar module production lines.
The central hub of activities in Asia is the new subsidiary in Hong Kong, led by Michael Raber. Thanks to twelve years spent in Asia, Raber has a good knowledge of the market, experience in the field of renewable energies and manufacturing systems engineering as well as important local business connections. 3S Industries’ new Asian headquarters are located in a science park which is currently developing into an important centre for the solar industry in China.
The solar group’s three companies, Somont, 3S Swiss Solar Systems and Pasan, will be exhibiting at a joint booth at the Third International SNEC Photovoltaic Power Expo in Shanghai from 6th to 8th May. Visitors to the trade fair can learn about the latest developments in stringing, laminating and testing and find out about the turnkey production lines provided by 3S. Visitors will find 3S Industries at stand T636C in hall E6.
The 3S Group’s increased activities in Asia are a step forward in its steady development on the international market stage. “Up until now we’ve primarily delivered to the very high demand in Europe because of a capacity bottleneck. Now we are concentrating more on the American and Asian markets, where large growth is predicted,” says Patrick Hofer-Noser, chief executive officer of 3S Industries.
