By developing nuclear power markets, both the companies will expand the long-standing cooperation between them in applying their nuclear competences in future nuclear power projects.
Fortum executive vice president Matti Ruotsala said that cooperation with Rosatom fits very well with the company’s strategy in which nuclear power is one of the key elements, and the projects where Rosatom is strongly involved can also bring new business opportunities to the company.
Fortum is engaged in providing sustainable solutions that fulfill the needs for low emissions, resource efficiency and energy security, the company said.
