The assets remained from Minemakers’ original acquisition of Bonaparte Diamond Mines in 2009. the company said they are no longer core to the business.

Minemakers received sale proceeds totalling A$1,180,000. The company will hold A$200,000 until both the post-completion accounting conditions are met.

The sale is part of Minemakers’s plans to develop rock phosphate projects for becoming a major contributor to the global nutrient market.

Minemakers managing director Cliff Lawrenson said: "Minemakers is well placed to execute its recently announced near-production Baobab Rock Phosphate Project, subject to shareholder approval in August 2015.

"This cash injection adds to our existing cash will be a useful addition as we work to complete the acquisition of the Baobab Rock Phosphate Project in the Republic of Senegal."

Minemakers is developing Wonarah deposit in the Northern Territory, claimed to be the largest conventional sedimentary deposit held by a listed company.
