Gamesa will supply and install 166MW to Companhia de Energias Renováveis (CER) and 48MW to Eletrosul, a subsidiary of Brazilian electric utility Eletrobras.
CER will receive 83 G97-2.0 wind turbines from Gamesa for the Xique-Xique II wind complex, which is being developed in Bahia state.
Gamesa will also carry out civil works at Assuruá I, Assuruá VI, Capoeiras I, Capoeiras II, Curral de Pedras III and Curral de Pedras IV wind farms that form part of the Xique-Xique II complex.
The deal is the second between Gamesa and CER, following the supply of 68MW of turbines at Xique-Xique complex.
The contract with Eletrosul requires Gamesa to deliver 24 G114 2MW turbines at the Cerro Chato complex in the southern state of Rio Grande do Sul.
Located in the city of Santana do Livramento, the Cerro Chato complex features Coxilha Seca and Capão do Inglês e Galpões wind farms.
Gamesa said the deal marks the first Brazilian order for the G114 2MW turbine, a new model designed to yield more power at lower cost at low and medium wind speed sites.
Delivery of the turbines is planned during 2014, with commissioning anticipated for the second half of 2015.
With the latest contracts, Gamesa has orders for over 1,968MW of its turbines in Brazil.
