The deals with renewable energy firm Casa dos Ventos cover the 216MW São Clemente and 130MW Tianguá projects, comprising a total of 13 wind farms.
The projects, which are expected to be completed in 2016, will generate enough renewable energy for about 300,000 local households and reduce around 325.000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
ABB will deliver 230kV and 69kV air-insulated switchgear substations including compact 34.5 kV substations with distribution transformers, connection bays and overhead lines.
The substations will help integration of renewable energy and boost power transmission grid capacity, ABB said.
ABB will supply reclosers to reduce the impact of disruptions caused by the intermittent nature of wind power.
The substations will feature IEC 61850-compliant open standard automation capabilities and control and protection systems.
ABB Power Systems division president Claudio Facchin said: "These substations and related infrastructure will facilitate the integration, transmission and distribution of clean wind energy to serve growing electricity needs in the region.
"They will also help strengthen grid reliability and secure power supplies."
