The company’s subsidiary OTV will work with a consortium including Stereau, Bouygues Travaux Publics, Razel-BEC and HB Architectes Associés.
The project, dubbed Avant Seine, includes modernizing SIAAP’s plant in Clichy and building a new pre-treatment unit.
Expected to be completed 2023, the project includes design and build studies for constructing the new installations and upgrading the current facilities.
It also includes commissioning and supervision during the observation and technical assistance period.
The works will allow the plant to meet with the increasing volume of wastewater generated in the greater Paris region, bringing its treatment capacity to 35m³ per second.
The new pre-treatment units are aimed at ensuring reliable operation. The company will use automated grapples and compactors suitable for large waste.
Grit washers will remove organic matter from sandy waste for recycling, while the Aquilair technology will avoid unpleasant odors at the facility.
Photovoltaic panels and hot water solar collectors will be installed for reducing the use of fossil fuels. It will also have heat recovery from the wastewater utilizing Energido technology.
A 70,000m3 storage tank will limit overflow into the Seine river. Veolia said the existing facilities, a n important part of the greater Paris region’s wastewater system, will continue to operate when the work is in progress.
