Grant Plains Wind will produce about 150 MW of electricity, enough to help power approximately 56,000 homes. Grant Plains Wind is expected to come online in 2016.
"The addition of this 41.4 MW of wind-generated power allows OMPA to continue to grow our renewable energy portfolio for our 42 member cities across Oklahoma. The Apex Clean Energy power purchase agreement gives OMPA the opportunity to increase our wind power portfolio from 100.2 MW to 141.6 MW in 2020 for our approximately 800 MW system.
