The Water Footprint Calculator examines four specific areas of home water use – outdoors, washing, kitchen, and bathroom also allows customers to compare their usage against their community or state’s average.
The tool, which has been designed internally by the company’s Environmental, Health & Safety Department, allows consumers to assess the impact of various water-efficient practices, save their usage information and log in at a later date to track their progress.
Liberty Water president David Pasieka said that this is a really exciting tool that will help its customers understand how much water they are using while allowing us to focus future conservation programs where they will be most effective.
"It is our intention to collect and analyze this usage information on an anonymous basis which we’ll be able to share with the state regulatory agencies to help support conservation policy formulations," Pasieka said.
