The contract requires Vestas Wind Systems to provide 24 V90-1.8 MW turbines totalling 43MW for the wind power project, which is being managed by Avant Energy, a Minneapolis-based energy management company.,
In addition, Vestas will be responsible for the delivery and commissioning of the turbines along with a five-year service and maintenance agreement.
The company is planning to deliver the wind turbines for the project in late summer 2011 with commissioning expected to take place by the end of next year.
