The PV project at the Hangzhou East Railway Station, which will serve as a hub for high-speed rail, subway, buses, taxis and other forms of transportation, will integrate grid-connected power generation into building infrastructure and will use the building surfaces, roofs and other surfaces.

The solar project covering an area of 148,000sq m is expected to generate 9,818,600kWh of energy annually, while replacing 3277 tons of coal, and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 8095 tons, sulfur dioxide emissions by 66 tons and other air pollutants by 32 tons.

While Astronergy will develop 8.2MW of this CNY270m project under the Golden Sun Program (2010), the remaining 1.8MW will be considered as National Solar Photovoltaic Building Demonstration Projects.

The project adds to the portfolio of solar projects that Astronergy is developing in collaboration with its parent company, the Chint Group to bring its complete PV product line and total system components to global PV markets.
