As an Energy Star partner, Hotel Rescue will be able to expand its energy services to conduct verification for determining whether a hotel or commercial property qualifies for an Energy Star rating though measurement and tracking of energy performance of a property’s facilities.
Hotel Rescue will also engage in developing a plan with the both the client and Energy Star to achieve a property’s level of desired energy savings and assist clients in getting their properties listed on the official Energy Star property list.
Its responsibility will also include supporting the Energy Star Challenge – an effort to improve the energy efficiency of America’s commercial and industrial buildings by 10% or more and also reduce their greenhouse gas emissions.
Reducing energy use of the lodging industry that spends more than $7.5bn on energy each year by 10% is expected to save $750m and help reduce US greenhouse gas emissions by six million tons annually.
