The acquisition of Hidro Filtros, which will operate under the brand name ‘Pentair Hidro Filtros’ and will be positioned within Pentair Residential Filtration, is expected to strengthen Pentair’s position in the water treatment market in Latin America.
The transaction that is expected to close in the beginning of 2011 will leverage an expanded distribution network to serve the customers with a more extensive product portfolio offering a wide range of certified water treatment products.
Pentair Residential Filtration president Alok Maskara said that Hidro Filtros, a company highly respected for its innovation, provides an expanding portfolio of new water treatment systems for improving water quality for people in Brazil and neighboring countries.
"With the addition of Hidro Filtros, Pentair will be better positioned to support market trends and serve customers in Latin America through expanded channels, a stronger sales organization and local manufacturing capabilities, "Maskara said.
